Most legit stars would've been just as good back in the day. Harden is really the only one that would be a scrub because getting an index fingers wind wasn't called a foul for 15+ ft's a game. Dude would've been out of the league 4-5 years ago.

Lol, it's insane how many people take Harden for granted. Probably the best one on one scorer in nba history. He would be good as hell in any era

Yep. Agreed. Harden is a freakin stud. He is just is so incredibly unlikable to watch. Doesnt mean he isnt an all world talent. People just need to differentiate between how much they like him and how good he is.

No he's not. Take away his foul shots where is he? He's middle of the pack, borderline all-star. He wouldn't get these calls in the 80s-90s. Today's fouls were considered good hard-nose defense back then. Now you literally can't even put a hand on a guy.

The guy has had some pretty stout teams but hasn't even been in the finals.

...You act like this is all Harden can do is draw fouls lol. He's a great shooter, he's a great passer, he has great size and although he's not MJ as an athelte, he's still a better athlete than 90% of guards during the 80s and 90s.

Harden is just taking advantage of the rules. Go watch him in OKC, watch him when he first came to Rockets. He was a 3 level scorer, and still can be. And at his size, he would be dominating in the 80s. And btw, Harden averages 2 more free throws a game than MJ. The "MJ rules" wasn't just coined yesterday lol.

It truthfully is... Teams cannot play defense on him so they don't. They simply have no option. When they do try, it's a foul. It's completely unfair to the rest of the league and spits on the great tradition of greatness.

Come Conference finals or a team with equal star talent
he no longer gets carried by NBA refs. Refs can only carry him so far before their hands are tied. Suddenly he's pedestrian as far as greatness.

you are acting like he goes from 30 ppg a game to 15 ppg during the playoffs lol. he's still 30 ppg in the playoffs. once again, i get not liking him, but denying how good he is not being rational at all.

i blame Mike D and the lineup that he has to play with. this is normal for Mike D. all offense, no defense. there's a reason why he could barely even get out of the 2nd round all those years with the Suns (idk if even did). he's a good regular season coach, but come playoff time, his teams always fall short because of his style of play.

and if i'm Harden, i can't complain. what NBA player is gonna b***h about being the focal point of the offense. MJ was mad when they got rid of Collins and Phil wanted MJ to play less 1on1 and more team ball. he needs a real coach.

The guy shoots far more than any other player in the league. If we tally up the 10 players with the highest fg's he's 9th in percentage within that 10. Middle of the pack in 3 pt%. #1 in turnovers and had around 180 more free throws than any other player in the entire league.

He's nothing great history wise and he's not even close. He's a middle of the road good player. Take away his signuture flop and he's basically CJ McCollum. They would be near identical if CJ got the same calls. CJ actually would be slightly better with his better percentages.

I've learned that people who talk this only watch ESPN. They just repeat the narrative they spew out.

Lol,ESPN is the one propping this guy's every move up. What are you talking about? Greatest scorer since MJ. What a crock.

James Harden is the greatest scorer of this NBA era

Harden's isolation feast
Let's start with Harden's 60-burger against Atlanta: His 24 shot attempts were the fewest ever in a 60-point game in NBA history. He shot 8-for-10 in the paint, 8-for-14 from 3-point range and 20-for-23 from the free throw line. Pure Harden -

ESPN hates Harden. All you have to do it listen to their talking heads on their shows. Listen to the broadcasters. Everyone for the most part is constantly taking jabs at him and his defense like it's 2015.
James Harden is a disgrace to the NBA, I have no idea how he has fans

The Lakers dominating. No one in the nba is close to this super team. Damn. Portland won't win another game
Blazers getting scraped early, and Dame has attempted 2 shots? Superstars dont do that.

The Lakers super team is too great for one man. Bron is a top three player all time and AD is one of the most talented guys ever. Unfair team. No one can sniff them.

I am not saying Dame can compete with the Lakers. But to not even try to score while your team is getting blown off the court?

Remember this is the guy that people were crowning all sorts of things just a week ago.
I need Bron to score over 30 and this huge lead could
Hurt his minutes

Don't worry, Gary Trent and playoff Melo will bring them back
LeBron is so locked in.
