The NBA cares (more so the players), or at least (the owners) will go through the pretense of caring. Good on them.
The unfortunate truth is that our society is unravelling and the things that existed (Racist and classist system, etc.) but were obscured in some way are now coming to the front. The mask has come off America and our propaganda machine can no longer cover the hard truths of what our country has always been about. Too many of us still believe our own press, believe the American dream is more than just a b******t slogan, and these folks are living in fantasyland.

Should N.McMillian of been fired?
His team got swept in the first round I get it but shouldn't the context of being in a shortened season playing in a bubble of chaos be considered too? They literally handed him an extension 2 weeks ago.

I don't get that firing. That team has been overachieving the past 2 years. He's a done a good job with talent that's pretty average overall. Sabonis has also turned into an all star with him as the coach. Plus, they were really banged up this whole year, and even now. Dumb firing.

Emotions are raw, players were already worn out of bubble environment prior to the Jacob Blake shooting and sources say discussions within teams are ongoing about postponing tomorrow's three games too -- and beyond. "The season is in jeopardy," one vet player here tells ESPN.

Question is no longer if players are prepared to boycott one game — that's happened. It's how many they will. There have been discussions amongst several teams, notably Toronto, about going home.

NBA needs to shut it down and lock the players out. You can't run a business like this.

An NBA owner supported the folks in Hong Kong and the players and commissioner came out strongly against him. An NBA team stands up against injustice against blacks.......what will the NBA do?
The irony

They did. But when the players say we'll play if we want to you got to shut it down and revise everything.
How is the NBA going to stop police brutality?

I'm pretty sure that all Americans give more of a damn what happens in this country more than Honk Kong. For some reason some people think that NBA players need to go in every f**ked up country and stand up to the regime there.

boycotts, protests, something that has worked in the past in this country on multiple occasions. especially when people in power speak, and especially when they are white as well.
