***NBA DA BUBBLE OFF-SEASON Thread***

and obviously it was become of economic reasons. Lebron doesn't need to go fight the regime in every country that he sells shoe's in. America comes first to Americans. it's not a crazy concept.

It isn't. But Lebron didn't just not fight that issue. He actively condemned Morry for speaking out. That shows hypocrisy on his part.

Agreed black players don't have to be social active for every issue. They have enough on their plates with their community. But don't shut down others who want to speak out because it hurts your bank account.

lool f**k that. NBA needs to stands with its players.

Agee. NBA should be cancelled until they get their political demands met

That's between nba players and nba.

Oh obviously

I'm just saying if you are refusing to play now, what's the point if next week you're playing and nothing changes?
The MLB is postponing games and the NHL is taking about it too. This is what I was talking about yesterday. Something that starts off so small with a single team boycotting will eventually lead to other teams doing it which lead to the league doing which will lead to other leagues. This is going to get more and more people talking. I love this. We as a society need this. Life is way bigger than f**king games for entertainment.

The point is to get more attention to it. NBA is a global sport - it gets attention around the World. Players are not dumb. They don't think things will change in 24 hours.

So the point is attention? okay I think they did that?

Do you think they will resume playing in the next few days?

They're not asking nba to stop police brutality. They're not protesting against the owners.

Sure they are. It's the NBA on the hook here financially. It doesn't matter as much this year with everything f'd up anyways but good luck getting season ticket holders on games that might be played. If the players feel like it.

boycotts, protests, something that has worked in the past in this country on multiple occasions. especially when people in power speak, and especially when they are white as well.

Worked with what because it's apples and oranges anyways. Curving police behavior is a different subject than increasing civil rights. But as far as the NBA goes they're going to find out people can live just fine without sports and they'll only diminish their influence.

the fact is, NBA already makes a s**t load of money.

now if some pissed off rednecks want to stop watching, that's fine. overall, they won't be hurting that much, especially with their growing influence in other countries. Unlike the NFL that depends on just domestic viewers, NBA has a big market already in europe and asia.

in the end they will be on the right side of history. they might lose some viewers right now, but 20-30 years from, the next generation isn't going to not watch the NBA because black players took a stance. and the NBA isn't going to fold bc they lose lets say 10% viewership because of politics.

what those people will find out, that the NBA will be just fine without them. it's like the same people who burn their nikes or slash their goodyear tires, those companies will be just fine lol.

Not sure. I think they'll at some point. I'm sure they'll talk among themselves and with the owners. Bunch of amazing leaders and entrepreneurs playing in the bubble.

In 20-30 years, I'm really not sure if sports will be that relevant. Every single kid I know seems to prefer watching streamers play video games

Just going to be us dinosaurs telling stories about how we use to go outside and play

Doesn't matter what a season ticket holder will do next season right now.
