....possible lockout....
That's the kicker that will get them playing again. I get the outrage and wanting to make a stand. It's not logical. Not after the sacrifices they made to make the bubble happen. Lebron is rich AF and walking on this season and next season ain't s**t to him. 90% of the league needs to play.
Imo Lebron is wielding his power to get the owners on the table. He knows without them - change will happen very slowly. You need some billionaires on your side.

lool multiple owners have already come out to support the players. 80% of the league is black. Owners know without the players - league is not profitable.

"Support" will end when they start really bleeding money. If it comes to that
Lebron seems to agree with what I said earlier btw on long shutdown

This. It's the right response today but next season was already looking pretty sucky still caught in between the bubble and quarter full stadiums.
Don't expect bball anytime soon.

When a consumer withholds it's cash, it's a boycott. When an employee withholds their labor, it's a strike.
Let's call it what it is. This is a strike.

Key is - if it comes to that. NBA owners are smart. They're supporting players so it doesn't come to that.
Imo NBa players wants owners to put their money where their mouth is. Open up their arenas for voter registration and then as voting location and use their money to get local administration to bring some form of police reform on the table.

Sources: Every team besides Lakers and Clippers voted to continue playing. LeBron James said in meeting he want owners to be more involved/take action.

The NBA referees plan to walk together at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort hotel as a form of peaceful protest against the killing of unarmed black men and women at the hands of police, a source said.

Yeah most logically I guess this ends with owners cutting a check to cause of players choice

Like, as in take a stroll together at the hotel, or walk from the bubble and not red anymore?

NBA governors meeting tomorrow at 11am. We should have clearer picture if the season will cont or not at that time.
