Yea, he'd have just retired.

Or go play baseball lol

Yup, the poster child for "Shut Up and Dribble" would have been MJ.

Yeah but everyone would have because it would just be MJ dogging the sh out of them in a bubbled environment.

Kobe wouldn't have quit.

This.

Trump is a racist troll that fans the flames. He makes it worse, he won't even speak out on it.

And police shootings on black men have declined under Trump? Link?

He's right. Police shootings as well as unarmed black shootings are down. That doesn't fall on Trump that's local reform but the only impact Trump has is on the population and tye left is equally guilty of spanning hate. Hence why they're burning everything down.
NBA players going to cancel the season, but what's the end-game?

Emmanuel Acho, who is huge in the cause right now, made a point about this too. Cancelling for the sake of cancelling does nothing if there is no action associated with it on the positive front.

That's what I've been saying. It seems like a major victory for those who want this silenced or to just go away.

I personally think these dudes are just tired of it all. Between the bubble, hotels, games every other night, covid rules, being away from families and to top it off all of this civil unrest.

Yeah I think it's really a cumulative effect, they are just emotionally, physically, and mentally worn out.

Yeah, I agree - these guys are emotionally spent.
So boycotting 1 game is going to change everything? Boycott the whole season if that's what your goal is or better yet boycott until your goal for a more equitable and just society is fulfilled.

This is looking like a strong possibility to happen right now.
Looks like a shutdown, too bad it was just getting interesting.
