The Kings don't fire a head coach until that coach starts turning the team around. See: Michael Malone fired 24 games in at 11-13 after a 28-54 campaign, Dave Joerger +12 wins from year previous.

I mean let's be honest what quality top-tier coach will want to come here anyway...

I read an article that said expansion is most likely coming. It will help recoup the losses from the pandemic. Seattle and Vegas are the cities. It will also bring realignment. Most likely following the NFL's lead with 8 4-team divisions. Some teams could move to the East to make it make more sense regionally. Maybe even a complete redesign of the conference systems.
This would be years away though. They pointed out it normally takes 2 years once a critter is awarded a franchise before they're ready to play.

They def need 2 new teams. Lot of talent in the league. Seattle and Vegas will be perfect. Move Memphis and NOLA to the East. Zion and Murant become a huge draws in the Eastern Conf. and likely makes the league more balanced talent wise as well. Also reduces travel for West coast teams.

If they wanted true balance on the conferences then only one team from the west could move to the East. That would make it 16/16. Memphis and NOLA are both right on the border. Timberwolves too.
