ok. I predict this is where he lands for 600 mil. Ohtani going to a lot of teams isnt that big of a deal. He was on the Angels with Trout and they couldn't win s**t. You need more than just Ohtani. But Ohtani on the Dodgers is a real f**king problem.

My Soto trade dream is over (ya it was a longshot i know)
Remaining names on my not Ohtani wish list

Ideally we get all but as a long time fan I'm ready for the Charlie Brown special where the ball gets yanked away and we end up with low tier signings at mid tier prices

Speaking of low tier signings at mid tier prices you included Hoskins. .240 with 30 HRs in Philly is like .210 with 18 HRs in SF. Thats Wade or Belt #'s

I want the Giants to et some big names but I'm not sure signing Ohtani would be smart. Tying up that much money for a player that would be a DH in 2024 seems reckless. He may pitch again in 2025 but who knows for sure if he'll be as good. The Giants don't spend like the Padres, Dodgers and Yankees so if they sign Ohtani then that's probably it. All thye would be doing is replacing Pedersen with Ohtani. That won't add much. Ohtani isn't Barry Bonds. He won't hit 50 HRs in SF.
