The point is, Ohtani was never actually considering the Giants. We aren't a good team. It didn't matter what Farhan did, he wasn't picking us. Farhan sucks, but blaming him for not getting Ohtani or Judge is dumb. They never wanted to be here.

Like all of your other takes on baseball, it's literally what everyone else already knows. We get it, your baseball sense is very common. Not everyone wants to be a boring fan.
Oh well. Dodgers are like 49ers as are Giants to AZ. I didn't see this happening but with the dodgers continuing to always try to be all in it makes it difficult for FA to take Giants seriously playing in this division.

The Giants must get one player that is exciting to watch and bring fans in. But come on $70m a year? Take him. I hope he's the worse signing ever by any club.

But this roster is just a snooze fest. Thank god we have the 9ers.

So what you are saying is that Brock Purdy is getting a $700 million contract.

Apparently not you.

Choosing to live in delusion doesn't make it more fun to be a fan, although ignorance is bliss I suppose.

Takes zero intelligence nor effort to have the same opinion as the majority, no one is impressed.
I wonder what the team offered Ohtani. Not that it mattered anyways since he had already made up his mind.

He probably made it clear he didn't wanna play for a loser , and let's face it no playoffs = loser, and that's what we have been, oh well on to Yamamoto bellinger snell and chapman

I think the Giants would have had to have blown that 700M offer out of the water to have landed him. If I was Ohtani I would take Southern California, a certainty to be in the playoffs every year, and 700M unless a team offered 100M more and was also a playoff contender.

lol, so your philosophy is to go against common knowledge to impress people when things turn out the way nobody expected? This explains a lot.

Fair.
And If the Giants paid more than $700m for Ohtani, I think that would have been a pretty huge gamble and too big of a gamble imo. Too many holes on this team to divert that much to one guy.

All we can hope for is one of these two way players they have been drafting to come up and be the next great 2-way player.
