I hate these late season streaks when they have nothing on the line. It gives the front office a chance to say "see we have the makings of a great team".

I don't think anyone is putting much stock into whats going on since we were eliminated.

I don't think anyone is putting much stock into whats going on since we were eliminated.
The fans probably aren't but in past years I've seen the front office use them as a reason to keep some players that should be let go. I just wish they would say we're going to start rebuilding instead of saying they compete for the WS every year. That gets in the way of letting some of the young players develop. That's why we see the one or 2 weeks trials and then back to the minors. Just admit that they're rebuilding. Don't feed the fans a line of BS.

The Giants announced that LHP Reggie Crawford had surgery to repair his labrum. The estimated rehab time is 10-12 months. Crawford had dealt with left shoulder soreness all year and was shut down after pitching in Triple-A.

Blake Snell reiterated that he loved being in San Francisco this year, said he'll talk to Farhan Zaidi and ownership. He plans to have a full spring next year and a more normal season, said he expects teams to "be more aggressive earlier" this time around.

Marco was sent down to play in the fall league. They are apparently going to try him in the outfield. He's shown he isn't a good infielder so maybe it will work out. He has enough speed and a good arm. He also needs to learn how to pull the ball.He has good power and a quick bat but he rarely pulls the ball. Hence very few HRs. None at the major league level. I hope the fall league and any off season work he does can get him back on track.
