I am starting to believe this is BS. I get that it makes sense in theory. But if it was true, then you would see an abundance of star pitchers wanting to come here and that simply isnt happening either. We arent signing big bats for reasons that dont have to deal with the ballpark, IMO.

If you look at money spent on FA pitchers vs FA hitters since Oracle opened, I bet its a stark difference that pitching vastly outweighs hitting in terms of money spent.

The ball park is big factor, dudes care about their numbers. It's not hard to figure out. It is what it is. Bring in the fences again.

Park Factor has them 27/32 (2 non trad parks) overall
and 30th in HRs.

It's the worst park to hit HRs in over the last 3 years.

So why do big name pitchers typically spurn our offers too? Like I said....IF hitters wont come here because of the park, its logical to assume that every pitcher would be dying to pitch here because of the park. But that isnt happening. So clearly, there are other factors aside from the park that are preventing us from signing big name free agents.
bring the fences in is soft if anything move em back lean into the pitchers park and get some OF who can cover some grass
Typical Posey. Never too excited lol.

Show me a single big name hitter we have ever signed?

Bonds. They don't get better than that. I know what you're talking about recently and Bonds was signed before Oracle was built.

Uh huh... any non-contrarian can see that the park is a factor for power hitters wanting to sign and play here. Not surprised you have no rebuttal.

Matt Chapman goes from an okay hitter at home to a + power bat on the road.

Here are Chapman's splits.
Home
.251 9 HRs, 39 RBI, 761 OPS
Away
.243 18 HRs 39 RBI, .819 OPS

Because the team is bad and pitchers don't want to come here pitch 6 shutout innings and get a no decision and have their playoff hopes close in August.

I love me some JH Lee... he was my top priority besides Shohei.

But we signed him to the richest contract from any player coming from the KBO. I think he could be worth it but it's a huge overpay/gamble on an unknown. He's also not a power guy so the park factor doesn't hinder him too much.

Chapman came on a glorified 1 year deal. He overcame the odds and had a really solid year but let's not pretend he's an MVP caliber player, he's not. That's what I mean "Big Name Hitter"... MVP candidates... guys who can hit 30-50 HRs.

LOL. You are still missing the point. I am not saying that park doesnt play a role in the big hitters not wanting to come here. I am sure it is a bit of a factor. But the point that you clearly missed is that I am saying it cant be THE reason. Because if the park was as big of a reason that it is deterring big bats from coming here, then pitchers should be lining up to pitch here.....and that isnt happening either. Obviously there are a ton of factors, and my personal belief is that the state of the team is the largest reason.

I have never claimed we are signing big named bats, so there is no need to ask "Show me a single big name hitter we have ever signed?" I am not claiming we are. I am claiming that IF the park is THE reason for it, then there would be evidence of the opposite (pitchers dying to pitch here).....and there isnt.

Hope that helps. Tried to dumb it down as much as possible so you could understand what I am saying.

soler. he hit 48 (one year). he can only slug that's all he does. he signed here. we are the anti Coors the air is thick at sea level and right on the water. let's lean into it. we have a great park with great features like triples alley. you'd turn us into a little league park with your moving the fences in. didn't we lead MLB in homers as a team not that long ago?
