Sign Burnes miraculously find a way for Kyle Tucker and Buster has done more than that dumb ass Farhan has done in what the 7 years he was here

I still remember being so excited about Farhan and thinking that the 2021 season was a sign of things to come. Boy was I wrong

I hear ya, i feel we still need a big bat but I think we can compete for a wildcard with a burns signing alone
Giants need to stop being pussies and sign Trevor bauer

I kinda knew it was a fluke, everyone had these career years, Crawford looked like he was 27, Kapler is Kapler. That's why that game 5 loss to LA was so hard to handle

2021 was the worst thing to happen to this fanbase. Set us back years.

Minasian spent 14 years in Milwaukee, and was there for Burnes' rookie season. That, plus Burnes going to college in the bay area might help our chances.

At this point I think it's an upset if he goes to Toronto, they would have to give him near 300 for him to sign there imo. Burnes has really good numbers at Oracle too

Ahhh but you need guys on base for that

He's not a great offensive player but he's a great defensive player. That helps a lot. Those offensive numbers are out of a total of about 450 players. Actually more since player s go on IR and others take their place. He's in the top 10 among 3rd basemen in most offensive categories so I would say he's at least good.

Again, nobody is arguing he isn't good. And he is a great defensive player. All that is being said is overall he's a good player, not great.

And being 10 of 32 at your position coupled with Steve's post is all the proof you need he isn't "great".

I don't think I ever said he was great. If I did I meant it about his defense. I think defense gets overlooked a lot in this era when so much is about offensive stats. He's not 10 of 32 at hs position. Some sites rank him as high as #2 overall. I don't know about that but he was #2 in doubles, #5 in HRs, #7 in RBI, #5 in SLG, #4 in OPS, #6 inSB and #10 in BA. Combine that with another gold glove and that puts him solidly in the top 10 among all 3rd basemen. We also have to consider tht his numbers would likely be even better with a better lineup around him and if he was playig in a more hitter friendly park. Likely would have over 30 HRs if he played at several parks around the league.

Very good but not great.

Kyle Tucker supposedly on the block.

Do it Buster!!!!

are one of the teams "involved in talks" with the Houston Astros for outfielder Kyle Tucker, the New York Post's Joel Sherman reported Wednesday

Dont tease me!

Yankees, Cubs, Phillies and Giants involved in talks. Ask yourself who lands him? lol

Well, if the rumored Yankee offer is Luis Gil and Ben Rice as a starting point, we are going to have to be really aggressive in our offer. I assume Kyle Harrison HAS to be included, and I wouldnt mind that at all.

The thing is, the Giants are arguably among the worst farm systems in baseball currently (BR has us last), and the Yankees are also among the worst. But for the Yankees to include the 2024 ROY, we are going to have to part with some of our top of the farm rankings players. I dont know that we have what it would take to get him, but I would empty the farm for him. Its not like we could get much worse than our already one of the worst rankings in baseball.

I've heard Yankees don't want to include Gil

Really? I read because they got Fried, it makes Gil more expendable.
Adames said he likes the city and that it has improved since his last visit.

I guess they cleaned up the poop.
Trading Kyle Harrison would be a mistake. I think he will breakout this year.

Trading away or tradng for any player is always a risk since baseball players commonly have up and down years.v The difference from one year to the next is probably greater in baseball thn any other sport. Pitchers are the riskiest since any slight arm or leg injury can throw off their entire season.

I also don't want to hear about it the next 15 years in here. I doubt I'll be here that long, but I've already nearly done that once. lol.
