he's a legit one of the greats
if you find your way to postseason and you have webb, ray and verlander, that's a lil interesting, then you have all this young pitching and good relief pitching. they need one more big arm imo, add flaherty to that mix. in my offseason projections i projected a max scherzer, verlander is basically that same type of move. i had a 1 year to max, this is that kind of deal.

good thing about mlb is LA can win 120, it still is anyone's series in a short series particularly if we are long on arms. goal should be get to 88+ wins and playoffs

The starting rotation did need some help. Wow, though...Verlander is going to be 42 soon!! Hoping for the best. Beggars can't be choosers maybe?

just need to manage his innings. snell has a hard time getting past 5 flat. so verlander will just do that also. we have young guys so we can skip a start on verlander if needed. just imagine him being on our squad in October

Seems like Verlander will need some management of his innings at this stage of his career. Same with Ray and his workload, too. I hear you about October if the Giants can get in...Verlander has shown he can give a team an edge in the postseason.
