The longer Sasaki goes unsigned, the more I think he's unlikely to sign with LA. That would be the biggest shock of the offseason besides Soto's studid ass contract.
Other options are SD, NYY... I gotta think we could have an outside shot no? He'd probably be our ace and biggest star right off the bat. He wont get that in LA.

Been saying it. One of the Padres, Mariners and Dodgers are the teams I'd expect him to sign with. I too think the Padres have a better shot than people believe.

That ownership drama wouldn't be an issue for SD?

More of the same this season, guess hope to see Eldridge but seems like a team who still can't compete with anyone in the division, 4th place roster, another bat or two or legit pitcher can change that I guess

I don't know how the Giants are going to be able to compete with the Dodgers in the next few years. They're just signing everyone that comes on the market. The Giants are going to have to build their minor league system and start developing a lot of high end talent if they want to be competitive again. There's always a chance that they can have one of those years like the did when they won 107 games but it's not likely.

I read in here just sign a bunch of arms like Scherzer and you don't need any power or superstars. Just add some arms and speed and boom you win the WS.

that guy must be posey. my offseason write up was 1 year 15m to scherzer. posey did that in reality, with verlander. i got pretty close on that one

If we bring up Eldridge this year, I want to see him bat 7th or 8th. I dont want to bring him up and bat him in the heart of the order.

His model includes bigger names. Yours doesn't. Your model gets them 4th in the division.

It's official.
The Justin Verlander deal (one year, $15 million) is official. To clear a roster spot, the Giants DFA'd Blake Sabol.

Unfortunately you need a superstar roster to compete with the dodgers, meaning loaded at every position, until then we will not be competing for the division anytime soon, we got Chapman and Adonis and let's face it the rest are scrubs

Sabol should have never been asked tp play Catcher. That was poor development by FZ.
