After Larry Baer's incident with his wife, and the Kapler/Farhan press conference about the sexual assaults they ignored in LA, they hired Alyssa Nakken specifically to save face with women. Regardless of his innocence, the Giants aren't going to undo the goodwill PR they gained back by signing Bauer.
