I'm not sure if a salary cap will help that much. Look at the NBA and the NFL. Teams still find ways around the cap. What baseball and all sports need is a reality check. The salary monster has been unleashed throughout sports and it's creating a lot of overpaid, spoiled athletes. Fans end up paying ridiculous prices for tickets only to find out their favorite player is resting when they attend a game. I don't know how they're going to stop this incredible salary inflation but something needs to change.

Remember when the Warriors got ripped for signing Durant? That signing is small potatoes compared to some of the stuff since...even Durant himself signing with the Suns....hear a pin drop.

That Dodgers rotation, if they stay healthy, will be nuts.

We have no chance of being competitive in the near future. Signing players to finish with 76-84 wins every year is pointless.
idk man, just gonna end up signing with the dodgers if they turn out to be good and hit FA.

Sadly, this will likely never happen. The players association is too strong.
What fans should do is what I am going to do. That is to not go to 1 game, not watch a game on tv, and ignore the product entirely. The only thing players and owners understand is money and drastically falling attendance and ratings might be a wake up call.
Another thing that should happen is for ALL players who want to be in major league baseball be subject to the regular draft. Players in Japan and elsewhere go to whatever teams drafts them in the June draft.

As a Sharks fan it's the same thing with them. No one seems to ever want to come to SJ but when they play there they love it and resign, SJ never had issues resigning guys but they anlso won back then and the same can be said with the Giants. If they develop their prospects and turn out legit I have no doubt they'll resign them but most importantly they have to win or at least show signs of it

Don't worry guys. The Dodgers rotation isn't any better than the Giants and starters don't matter anyway. It's all about relief pitching. Just ask Catchmaster. LOL
Ohtani
Snell
Yamamoto
Glasnow
Sasaki
Best starting staff ever?
Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz, Avery.
Halladay, Lee, Hamels, Oswalt.

Except the not watching part. I'm going to watch on tv because that changes nothing. And they don't care. I love baseball and I'm not going to let them take that from me.

It would take a massive drop in TV ratings for the owners and league execs to get alarmed enough to do something drastic. It seems that no matte rhow much ticket prices go up or how much TV access increases fans will pay it.

With Scott, the Dodgers' luxury-tax payroll is estimated to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $375 million, about $70 million more than the second-place Philadelphia Phillies.
This is nothing to them lol. What a f**king joke this has become.
