Went to UCSB and would love to retire in SB if possible - would probably have to stream or pay extra to watch Giants games down there? I remember in college I was able to watch every Niners game because I believe a station in SLO would show their games, thankfully.

I also went to UCSB (many years before you!) and live about an hour from SB. I have paid for the MLB package in the past to watch the Giants but that is when they were competitive and the Dodgers werent paying for titles. No mas.

If I ever moved back down there, I might not pay for the MLB package either given what we've been seeing with the league as discussed.

Unfortinately ticket prices are through the roof nowso it's harder for fans to attend games. Taking the family is a major csh outlaywhether it's baseball, football or basketball. One game for a familyof four can cost anywhere from $400 to over $2000 depending on where you sit. Baseball has those games where they use a term calle ddynamic pricing. Code for gouging.

If it wasn't for NBC Sports Bay Atea and Directv I wouldn't be able to see the Giants games here in Eugene. I hope that continues. I'm not about to pay for the all access baseball package.

Don't have Comcast but if I did no way I'm paying that.

I just watch highlights on social media and gamecast. I've never watched full games unless the team was on their east coast trips.

Same here. Baseball was always my best sport and played into college. Loved playing and loved everything about the game.

As a kid my Dad took me to games and I was able to see Mays , McCovey, and Marichal. I would lay in bed at night and listen to Vin Scully on the Dodgers broadcast when my beloved Giants needed the hated Bums to lose at the end of the season. I never missed a game on the radio with Lon Simmons at the mike.

I feel so bad for kids now that love the game like I did. Baseball has been ruined because of money.

All sports have to some degree. Players seem to worry more about how much they're getting paid compared to other guys than they do about their actual performance. Sports were never intended to be a way to build generational wealth.

If you live outside CA, you can get the MLB pass for like 79 bucks. Some cell providers give it for free. If you live in CA, 600 for the year to watch your local team. Seems legit.

Principle man. $600 isn't the point as much as paying anything to a system that is broken and favors just a couple of teams. I can't support that but to each his own.

Dodgers are in serious discussions to sign the reliever, Kirby Yates.
I don't get it. Just let them keep all the players on their team they want to keep and replace the ones they don't by picking up any one player they want from each team. At this point, it be done in one swoop instead of dragging their signings out, and the least embarrassing for the league.
