Bonds. The all time single season and lifetime HR king. The only memeber of the 500-500 club.
Rice. The all time TD leader
Curry The all time 3 point leader
Ricky Henderson. The all time and single season stolen base leader. Many consider him to be the best leadoff hitter ever.
Willie Mays. Generally considered to be the greatest all around player ever
Montana. The undisputed greatest QB of his era. Undefeated with 11 TDs and no INTs in 4 SB games.
Then we have a long list of players that grew up in the Bay Area and starred with other teams like Brady and Joe Morgan.

Bay Area fans have indeed been very fortunate.

yessir. i have seen em all with the exception of mays.

i lose a lot of respect for mlb when the best all timers like rose, bonds and clemens are not in the hall.

The official MLB twitter even made a tweet about Rose's death and how they were grateful. They are a*****es lol.

that really bothered me. they could have put him in while he was alive to enjoy it. he paid a more than sufficient price. he can still be banned for life as a manager or what not, and in the hof. everyone knows he is hof worthy.

I agree but the fans know who is the greatest. The writers and media people that vote for the HOF often have personal grudges against the players. Bonds was never a favorite with the media folks. On the other hand, Big Papi was always a media darling so they overlooked his association with steroids. He was just a DH his entire career and played mostly in a hitter friendly park. In my opinion he wasn't a HOF player. He was strictly a hitter who got more attention than he deserved because he was friendly and had that nickname.

He's got a brand new elbow. And he can blow a game just as good as Rodgers. All good.

Seems the bull pen will be Giant's main strength again (maybe better this year)
Just catching up on the recent posts. Don't care if he died, f**k Pete Rose. Deserves to be left out of the Hall.

He probably paid that one writer not to vote for Ichiro Suzuki

Except the HOF isn't just for the player. Its a history museum for the fans. If you can't tell the story of the history of baseball without mentioning a player, he belongs in the HOF regardless of what he did wrong.

if Bonds should be included, so should Rose. He's a legend on the field.

On field performance is what counts. This isn't grammar school where you get citizenship awards. I suspect that PEDs may be legal eventually since so many players have used them and they're hard to detect when used properly. All types of OTC supplements are alredy legal and they supposedly improve performance.

It's like paying college athletes. It used to be one of the biggest crimes any coach could commit. Now it's part of the game.
Hall of Fame should just open up a Hall of Shame wing for disgraced all-time greats. Problem solved.

Thats still based on interpretation. Bonds never failed a test. He even had all charges dropped by the court. Tell people the history of the game and let them form their own opinions.

The HOF voters are all full of crap. They still vote PED users in. Its all about personal beef. They just use their vote as a weapon to get back at athletes they hated, and use PED's as the excuse to justify keeping them out.
