Agreed, he's always the first guy out. Seems like a good teammate already. His hitting will come around.

This team is striking out a lot but also putting up some HRs, almost feast or famine.

Yeah I'm not worried about his hitting now. That's been this teams Achilles heel is those damn K's but as long as they're getting hits when it matters and hitting the ball out so be it especially Ramos

giants win!
Them boys HOT!!
Road sweep! Playing good ball. The 'pen has been very good so far.
Schmitt's error was changed to a hit. Fair as that ball was hit hard & a do-or-die hop. So, no error and the Giants still haven't been charged with an error so far. It's funny what good D, good pitching, and timely hitting can do.
5-1!!!!

Good enough for 3rd place lol
Fleming is never gonna live down his WS moment lol.

Sucks to start 5-1 and be trailing 2 teams in your division.
Well at least they aren't 0-6 and trailing 4 teams in the division
The top 3 teams in the NL west are now 20-1. I'm not sure I can remember a start like that for any division.
Worth every penny.

Very happy to be wrong on this. His intangibles are through the roof. A high-character, culture-building player.

I don't think anyone debated him being a quality guy or defender. Although I appreciate his defense more now watching him. Its the hitting that makes him just good and not great/elite. He's a .230 hitter that strikes out a lot. He has 8 in 6 games already. And he gets a pass on average as its mostly down across baseball. But he still K's a lot.

There are too many SOs in MLB now but some of that is because the way pitchers are throwing. Players often see pitcher only twice a game now. Frersh arms come in throwing wicked breaking stuff. Then we have the way so many hitters are trying to backspin the ball. It all adds up to record numbers of SOs.

Chapman has always struck out a lot but he also hits about 25 HRs per year. Ramos has more SOs (11) than Chapman but I can live with it as long as he continues to provide power and defense.
