This team is good

Buster Posey is so smart lol. He's gonna reap all the rewards of Farhans work and I f**king love it.

The analytical foundation was built, we just needed that real baseball logic to balance it out.

Stoked the Giants wan the game but a few things troubling me.
Looks like Verlander and Trevino are ancient washups and along with shacky Bivens will be the pitching weak links.
Fitzerald is not a second baseman. Can he not screw things up out there more often than not.
Other than that, I guess it is looking good early on. Offense is not a well-oiled machine, totally atrocious to strand the winning run at 3rd with no outs.
But new heroes every day. Adames, LWJ and Bailye weren't hitting a lick on the road trip and came out like the gang buster today.
Dang they're hitting them opposite field like Gerald used to do.

Love Adames' energy.

yeah well Casey can still get some time there as well. Fitz has a good bat and elite speed.
Wade heating up at the perfect time after a slow start.

The perfect time would be September if they're in the hunt for a playoff spot.

It's a little early in the season to be mking assuptions about players being washed up. Last season people were saying Yaz and Flores were washed up. Baseball has too mnay highs and lows to make assuptions about players or the team based on one week.
I wonder if Matt Williams talked to Fitz after the game.

I really think that was a good gamble on Fitzgerald's part. He's consideredone of the 2 fastest players on the roster and he saw a slight bobble and kept going. At that pint the tying run was already in. If they didn't score then the top of the order woulf=d be coming up the next inning.

I don't know if all that figured into his thinking or whether he just didn't see the stop sign because he was looking at the right fielder.

Chapman is hell of a ballplayer. that is all.
2 huge plays by the right side by the big money players
So far the season is the opposite of what we saw last year. Better defe4nse. Better base running. Clutch hitting with 2 outs and runners in scoring position.

All those things were terrible for the Giants last year. I hope they can continue to play like this at least through April. Then they won't need to spend the rest of the year just trying to get to .500.

It was an awful hold call.
