2025 San Francisco Giants Season Thread

I'm not a huge fan of hitting Ramos leadoff one day, then hitting him 5th the next. Gives me Kapler vibes. I would prefer to never see him hit leadoff

I guess I'm just referring to the leadoff spot then. Seems like it's been a different leadoff hitter damn near every game so far. Unless I am imagining it lol

he does it because last year, Ramos was one of the most effective hitters vs LHP.

He went witha RH lineup. Without Wade he needed to put someone else in the leadoff spot. They've pretty much had the same lineup every day. Ramos usuallylly bats 5th behind Chapman.

Its mostly been Wade. But he's hitting like crap. .105 but all his hits were in like 2 games lol

Maybe some day they'ill get a first baseman that can hit with power and consistency. Belt was a great defensive player and had some power but he was prone to prologed slumps. He would hit 3 or 4 HRs in 5 days and thern go ice cold for 3 weeks. Wade is similar in that respect. Eldridge is the hope for the future and his hitting should be an upgrade. He just has to cut his errors in half and learn the fine points of playing 1st.
Speaking of Eldridge looks like AA Richmond placed him on the 7-day IL with sore wrist issue that's been bothering him.

I knew about the wrist. It's been an issue since early spring training. If it's been bothering him that long I wonder how serious it is. I assume it's just a sprain or they would be talking surgery.
Weather forecast in NY is 100% chance of rain. I hope they can get the game in. I hate rainouts that are on the east coast. This is the only time they play the Yankees this season and the only trip to Philly as well. They push back the starting tme by half an hour so they're trying to getthe game in.It may be one of those stop and strt gmes. The foerecast is rain off and on all weekend so they have to try and ge tthe games played since it's the only trip they make ths yer. That's one of the problems witht he way they schedule games now with so much interleague play.

Damn, nobody posted in this thread at all during that game? Kinda surprised by that. Looked like a good win, I only got to see the first few innings then had to go somewhere.

Oh and look at that, they had a different leadoff hitter lol

I watched it. First inning was amazing and glad to see Lee homer. Rain was nasty but Ray looked decent and moved to 3-0.
FZ's 2 best moves for us: not giving KB that horrible contract, and signing Lee.
Here's the Korean call on Lee's homer. So much better.

Comparing Yankee Stadium to Oracle is like night and day as far as HRs go. So much easier to hit one out there than at Oracle. It's one reason I never put too much into the HR record since some guys play in bandboxes and others play where it's tough to hit one.
