I was encouraged today they scored 11 runs without a homer, by hitting and walking in multiple innings. Otherwise, they largely were hitting a bomb or two and except a few games, sitting around the rest of the game watching the other team trying to catch up. The homers will not always be there, need to manufacture the runs in other ways. And a better starting pitching than in the last two games will be really needed.
The record of the 4 teams outside of the Rockies in this division so far is 53-22 (.71 winning percentage) That is insane.

Buster's faith in Fitz is paying off.
If he somehow keeps this pace, Jung is going to have an insane amount of doubles.

13-5 and Flores has as many HRs as Chapman, Adames and Ramos combined. Who would have thought that was possible before the season started.

What a horrendous outing for Ray. Unacceptable.

Unacceptable?

Sorry just seeing this. Yes, when your team gives you a 4 run lead, the worst thing you can do is give the other team a free rally/free runs. Ray walked FOUR batters coming off of our team spotting him 4 runs. That is completely unacceptable, and I am sure Ray would tell you the same thing.

I thought Flores was done. I loved what he did for us in 2023, but after 2024, I thought he wasnt going to contribute much. He has been incredible. Above and beyond the jacks, he is leading the MLB in RBIs! (I believe in advanced metrics, other than the idea that RBIs dont mean anything. They do.)

It seems like the players we thought woukd carry the team on offense (Chapman, Ramos and Adames) aren't the guys that ate winning these games for us. Lee has been great but I honestly didn't kniw what to expect since he played so few games and was coming off a serious injury. Yaz ws another guy that struggles at the plate last year but looks great so far this year. Wade has been a big disappoinrment and if they had another LH option at first he would be gone. Bailey has been great defensively but his offense is down as well.

Still early and things can change. Chapman, Ramos and Adames will all likely get hot eventually.

WTF is going on with the starting pitching? Hicks blowing ass too.
Great start Hicks.
Hicks just isn't a starting pitcher. pull the plug and use him where he was once effective as a high velo relief pitcher
Huff sucks dick

Somehow he managed to get it together after the first inning. What is it with Giants pitchers and the first inning. 30-40 pitch innings just can't keep happening. I'm amazed Hicks went as farf as he did after trowing so many in the 1st.
