Im not currently watching today's game since I'm at work, and not saying Huff is good or anything.

But I blame that stupid new catcher's stance. Doesn't allow catcher's to move laterally at all to block pitches. I don't understand why all catcher's switched to that stance years ago. I know it's to help get called strikes low in the zone, but I say blocking wild pitches is more important.

Also I think we talked about this a few months ago

Totally agree the new stance sucks. I've said that for years. But these two were right in front of him....really easy ones. The comical thing is they score them wild pitches. Roupp actually pitched pretty decent today outside walking the first batter in multiple innings...but the defense really let him down today.

Brewers gotta have the worst defense in the league
Good comeback win

No not the worst. They're right about in the middle with 15 errors committed. Red Sox are the worst with 27. Today was a crazy game defensively. Wade dropping a throw that was right in his glove. Then the Brewers outfielder dropped a fly ball that was right to him. It seemed lie these guys all had their minds elsewhere.

Maybe they were thinking about the draft tonight.

Oh wow, they really look inept, surprised they aren't the worst
Wade batting .094

Next lowest starter is Bailey at .167

Harper was 19 when called up. Not saying Eldridge should be called up, I am just saying its about how he performs, not how old he is.

Yep. I am so tired of hearing people claim that the way we have managed some of our prospects has "ruined them." I am so tired of hearing "we cant rush a prospect, because we will 'ruin.'"

If a player is good, he is going to be good. This isnt the NFL where you can David Carr a QB because of an offensive line.

If you elevate players to levels past their current abilities they can lose major confidence and hurt their development.

There are many players that do well in the minors and then struggle in the majors. Even guys that bat over .300 in AAA often struggle to stay above .240 in the majors. The difference in pitching is huge. MLB pitchers have to be able to throw breaking balls and off speed stuff in order to succeed. Hitters don't see that level of skill in the minors.

Eventually the Peter principle kicks in.
