We just beat one of the best and hottest hitting teams in the NL, so far so good..legit series win.
Starting pitching has been a pleasant surprise. Hopefully nothing major for Cueto.
I haven't been able to see highlights, but how has our closer looked?

Best pitcher on the team right now, he gave up his first hit today.

Haven't been paying attention to the league but it would be hard to figure another closer off to a better start
Let's be honest Slater, Wade Jr and Dubon are just keeping the CF seat warm for Ramos once he arrives.
Slater can help in the corner OF and at 1B too. Dubon can help as a backup SS/2B.
Maybe Wade Jr sticks as the backup CF this year?
I have to give Kapler his props for how he has this team playing. I am still concerned about the way he runs the day to day with this team in the sense that I think it works when your team isnt that talented. His style seems to put our players in the best position to succeed. I am very curious to know if the way he runs things will work when our team is actually stacked though. I tolerate the constant shuffling of the lineups and lack of consistency in lineups and PT because its working with this group. I just dont know that it will work with a really good team, or if it will prevent big time free agents from coming here.

this is what I've been trying to say the whole time. I don't think it works with a more talented team...but in fairness, I will wait and see if he changes his style now that he's done this longer.

And yeah, he's doing a good job.

I think he has done a great job since getting the Giants job. I also think he is smart enough to adapt although I dont ever think he is going to be a manager who just throws the same 8 guys out there every game.

Giants are in great shape with Farham and Kapler in my opinion. Now, they just need to get those great prospects developed in the minor league system so they are ready to produce in a year or two

Those don't exist anymore.
