we sign Suzuki yet?

Probably another offseason of dumpster diving unfortunately.

Is Suzuki even a legit OF prospect? From what I'm reading he's not blowing me away. I'd rather have Chris Taylor and his versatility and good defense

It might be a case of Suzuki will sell tickets, and Chris Taylor wont. If they think Suzuki is a good fit, they might prefer him because he wouldn't cost them a draft pick. Without Posey they are going to need someone people are excited to come watch.

They are a 107 win team without a real drawing card somehow.

That's what I'm thinking. He's a name that will sell tickets. Taylor would only cost and end of the 4th rd pick so I can't see that being a deal breaker. If it is Suzuki it will be interesting. Shinjo 2.0?? Nah he's better.

Another "rumor"

when none of the rumors are true and you end up with just LaStella

Well if being cheap this offseason leads to a major regression in 2022, at least that might make ownership push Farhan to actually use our money.

I'd just like to remind folks that I said last offseason to go after 1-2 studs. And people got mad saying we wouldn't be good so don't waste money now if you aren't going to compete for a title. And while that sounds good in theory, and winning was unexpected, I will continue to say you cannot expect to sign enough FAs in one year. It takes multiple years and your own pipeline of talent. You have to be willing to spend for the right players whenever they are available.

Wouldn't it suck to win 106 games and make the playoffs and suddenly lose a bunch of players and go backwards. Sure hope that doesn't happen.

From what I was just listening it sounds like Bryant will be the next signing for the M's too. They have money. With them letting Seager walk they are saving some too.
I'm okay with that. Bryant was nice to have but nothing i would invest in for a long haul. I think his better days at the dish are behind him
I can easily seeing the Giants go after some of these pitchers:
Zach Davies, Stroman, Bundy and Bradley for the Pen.
Hey guys at least the Dodgers are losing talent right and left,
granted losing Seager isn't much of a hit when you got Trey Turner but still it hurts. I'll take it.
Mariners land Robbie Ray

5 years $115 for a Cy Young winner seems a bargain considering Gausman was worth 5 years $110.

Any thoughts on Schwarber? He had a stretch there where he was Bonds reincarnate. Not sure if he fits the type of team we are trying to put together in the field.

A bargain for a career 4.00 era pitcher who has only been under that mark 3x in his 8 year career. Nah I'll pass.
