Shifting kills offense. They were definitely banning it.

Put lines all over the field indicating zones where players must occupy. Shot clock / pitch clock. Yellow flag for any violations. Basically take everything unique and cool about baseball and put it in the garbage disposal and turn it on.
It's just dumb though. It's a defensive strategy. It's like the NFL banning having the safeties playing too close to the line of scrimmage or being too far back.
Not trying to be one of those "taking away from the game" guys. But I just don't like it. I'm for robot strike zones and stuff. Yuhh. But hey you can't move over this way when the guy hits it there 90% of the time.
