Shifting kills offense. They were definitely banning it.

Im glad. I always thought shifting was kind of lame. Brandon Belt is dancing right now.

yeah, I'm good with it. I didn't like watching shifts anyways. And I didn't want to watch a bunch of dudes pushing bunts down the 3rd baseline either. And I always thought it was stupid when dude pisses on one and its caught in shallow rf or they field it like a grounder and throw them out from shallow RF.

But I think the pitch clock is stupid. And bigger bases so teams steal more. lmao

Ditto on the shifts and I also agree with the pitch clock.

I don't know where this push to "streamline" and speed up games is really coming from, Yeah, yeah, yeah, I've read some reports that younger fans aren't catching onto the game because it takes so long. So what? I got news for you. Baseball bored the HECK out of me as a kid because I really didn't understand it yet. Most kids don't. The understanding of how and why the game is played comes as you get older.

Baseball owners didn't take action in the 1970's to speed up the game for young farts like me. They just said, "deal with it." I'm glad I was forced to learn about the game and the absolute beauty of it.

Nice!

Is the opt out clause a team opt out clause or a player opt out clause?

Well the starting rotation is set now:
1) Logan Webb
2) Carlos Rodon
3) Anthony Descalfani
4) Alex Wood
5) Alex Cobb

No superstar perhaps but I think a pretty solid rotation. Giants just need them all to pitch to their capabilities and they should be fine. Now need to add a big RH bat

Is that really enough? Hows the triple a depth?

Farhan playing 4D chess... Light years ahead
5 years, $110+m for Gausman who is 31

Or

2 years, $40m for Rodon who is 29, coming off a 24 game all star season and a 2.37 ERA with 185 ks in 132 innings, 12+ SO/9

No brainer, 5-star move by Farhan.

He just needs to stay healthy.

Wow he's one of my favorites! Unhittable former top prospect. Put it all together last year. Durability a major red flag, but with smart usage wow I love it

This guy is an ace
Kershaw back with LA for 1yr per Rosenthal

Beede is out of options, and we await Hjelle's debut. Then there's Sammy Long part 2.
