Of course we wasn't gonna get him. Still need a damn bat
I dont get it. Guess were not spending any money this offseason? I get the feeling that 2022 is going to be a huge letdown.

Certainly not going to win 100 games but with the expanded number of playoff teams I think the Giants can sneak into a wild card. I'm not surprised about not signing Suzuki. Farhan isnt the type to give out 5 year deals to a guy who is unproven in MLB.

My guess now would be Conforto on a 2 or 3 year deal.

Well they better be ready for poor ticket sales, because without Posey there is nobody on this team you pay to go see. Obviously if they win people will be happy, but last year was a convergence of several players having career years at the same time, and Posey going all out one last time. I think losing Posey is a huge deal, and I dont think we can count on Crawford to have another top 5 MVP season.

I like our chances big picture, but I don't think 2022 is going to be a fun season.

Wow Conforto would be a real coup.

Yeah, but we had Posey. I think people took his staff handling and pitch framing ability for granted. Im worried we'll see regression from the pitching this year.

Belt and Craw better be just as good or better than last year, and Yaz better get his head out of his butt, because the offense needs help.

This is what I have been saying for some time. People love Posey, but I don't think they fully appreciated the value he brought to our pitching. And in fairness to this year, you can't expect a young catcher to have that yet. Or ever. Posey was a different kind of talent.

I am not mad about missing out on Suzuki because the player has the final say...disappointed maybe. But Posey was the star of this team. Who is everyone coming to the park to see now? Belt? lol

Buster caught 106 of the 162 games last season. And that includes games where he entered the game late after he hit. That is only 65% of the games. I would be interested to see the metrics on how our staff did throwing to Buster and compare that to how they did throwing to someone else.

I know how valuable Buster was. I know that some fans undervalue Posey behind the dish. I personally believe you overvalue Posey behind the dish. The truth is likely somewhere in the middle. Buster will definitely be missed, but losing Posey alone wont turn this team from a 107 win team to an 85 win team.
