Certainly not going to win 100 games but with the expanded number of playoff teams I think the Giants can sneak into a wild card. I'm not surprised about not signing Suzuki. Farhan isnt the type to give out 5 year deals to a guy who is unproven in MLB.

I know how valuable Buster was. I know that some fans undervalue Posey behind the dish. I personally believe you overvalue Posey behind the dish.The truth is likely somewhere in the middle. Its not all about on field contributions. Posey was the leader of the team. There will now be a leadership void regardless. 107 wins was already extreme over performing. We haven't made any big moves, and lost Posey. We were going to regress anyways, but as it stands now id be surprised if we won 90 games.

Im not sure where you'd get the opinion that Posey was overvalued behind the plate by anyone. Based on what, the Bellinger AB? He called 14 postseason shutouts in 56 games caught. You probably wont ever see that happen again. His absence affects the lineup, the pitching staff, the defense, and the clubhouse. It's impossible to replace.
