We gave up 45 hits to the Nats lol. And now we go to LAD...

How is that even possible in a 3 game series? Embarrassing.
I was at work getting alerts about the games this weekend the giants were throwing BP to the Nationals

straight up. A couple injuries happen and it turned into a AAA team quick.

Outside Doval down the stretch last year, has there ever been a single RP in this pen that you trusted coming into a game since Kapler took over? I never feel confident or secure with a lead with these guys coming in the game. They may have solid overall numbers, but its like they take turns blowing the lead.
Wade has arrived in LA.

Its cool that we can maintain with random dudes like Krizan, Ford, Vosler, and Gonzalez, but at some point we need to start spending some money on guys that will give us big time, consistent production, and who will actually give fans something to get exciting about on a nightly basis. The Bart and Ramos hype dissipated fast, and now this team lacks anyone that people desire to go see. They really should've just overpaid for Suzuki. He would've brought a buzz to the yard every day.

Before the Washington series this week, they had the #2 staff in baseball behind LA. So they are better than we think. But I agree that pretty much whoever comes in I'm nervous.

I will say Brebbia either had a great start or figured s**t out. He's been good this year.

I like Rodgers in his role. Can't stand McGee. Doval has elite stuff but needs experience.

I agree. They were tied for first and the stands look 1/2 full. But Crawford is the only "star" on the field right now.

I just don't think a lineup with Ford, Vosler, Ruf, Gonzalez, Krizan, Bart, Dubon, lol the list goes on of .200 hitters (or worse) scares anyone.

id just love to have one player I get jazzed to watch.
I said this last year and so far I will echo the same sentiments.

I am terrified that Farhan is turning this team into the Oakland A's. Yes, its great that we can get value out of guys that other teams dont find value in. Yes its great that we are able to compete with the Dodgers in the regular season in spite of the massive difference in talent. But when push comes to shove in the playoffs, the stars come out and win games for their teams. We dont have many of those.

They are a big market team and a top 5 valuable franchise in MLB. Their ballpark is paid off. The only bad contract on this roster is Longoria, and he's a FA after this season.

I agree with the other posters. They need to bring in bigger names to be relevant again in the fans eyes. And oh yea, bring up Ramos.

I don't get A's vibes.

I get Tampa Bay Rays vibes. And that is mostly a complement. And the giants do spend money unlike the A's or Rays. I have always been amazed at how the Rays put teams together spending less and being competitive to really good. Incredible scouting. But they do usually come up short at the end. Which is what I have been talking about the last few days. I don't see how you can win the whole thing at the end with a couple of the Giants OFers, DH and OH depth currently on the roster. I do think Farhan values SP and does a great job finding it. I am not sold on his bargain basement hitter depth. The better hitters on the team were there before him.

All MLB teams must reduce their rosters by two players, to 26, by Monday. So curious to see which under .200 hitters go down.
