You can't have it both ways. We have the best FO in baseball, I don't think we will ever be the A's, the giants spend money smartly. See, Carlos Rodon. We are battling a lot of injuries and COVID right now and still in first. Things could be way worse.

I just read Yaz should be back soon, Longoria starting rehab assignment and LWJ coming back soon, help is on the way.
You might want to look at the standings before you post. As of this minute the Giants are in 3rd place.

I do trust in Farhan and think he will spend money when it makes sense. Rodon is the perfect example

None of the big free agents from the off-season are killing it right now, almost all of the teams are likely experiencing buyers remorse.

Freddie Freeman, 32 LAD - .309, 3 HR...6 years $162m ($27/yr)
Trevor Story, 29 BOS - .091, 0 HR...6 years $140 ($25m/yr)
Carlos Correa, 27 MIN - .256, 1 HR...3 yrs, $105m ($35m/yr)
Kris Bryant, 29 COL - .281, 0 HR..7 yrs, $182m ($26m/yr)
Nick Castellanos 30 PHI - .286 3 HR... 5 yrs, $100m ($20m/yr)
Marcus Semien 31 TEX - .206 1 HR... 7 yrs, $175m ($25m/yr)
Corey Seager, 28 TEX - .194 3 HR... 10 yrs, $325m ($32.5/yr)

These were essentially the top FA position players, nearly all of them were a very poor fit in terms of need. Kris Bryant was the closest one, although I personally wanted him back, it looks like letting him go was the right move at this point. The rest? Yikes... Semien/Seager/Storey all look like really bad deals.

This FO will do what needs to be done in terms of keeping/attracting the RIGHT talent.
If you are going to post stats at least be accurate and not post incorrect numbers to try and make your point. Some of us will call you on it.

Story isnt hitting .091. He is actually hitting .217 before the game today. Not good but not close to .091
Seager isnt hitting .194 with 3 homers. He is actually hitting .271 with 4 homers before todays game.

I never feel confident or secure with a lead with these guys coming in the game. They may have solid overall numbers, but its like they take turns blowing the lead.

Good thing i'm not too worried about your feelings.

Its always reassuring when you disagree with me.

I wanted KB back on a similar Rodon type scenario. 2-3 year deal.
Damn I hate the Dodgers. Rodon has to be our stopper. Bats need to come alive.

Good catch. Honest mistake. Obviously, a lot can change, it's still early but the point was none of those players are making a big impact at this point for us.

He just always finds a way to hurt us. Was really hoping he didn't resign with the Dodgers.
Would be nice if Farharn eventually signs a superstar hitter.

There were some horrible takes in here last night, to include this. When did anyone advocate to sign ALL the big name free agents? Pretty sure they were talking about signing one/a big time hitter. One. Not all. And of course you posted inaccurate stats to prove your point. Not to mention you are judging a year based on 20+ games.

Its like you guys don't understand what a respected hitter does for a lineup from a protection perspective. Sometimes you need some protection for your OK hitters. Force the other team to pitch around or at a player because of who is coming up.

You guys are really asking a lot from guys like Ruf, Slater, Duggar, Vosler, Wade, Bart, Casali, Gonzalez, Dubon, Williams, and heck even 2021-2022 Yaz if you think protection wouldn't help them.
Bart not hitting, and Crawford not hitting as well is killing us.

ehhh. Guys out of the lineup is the real answer. The giants will be fine when they get some guys back. In the end, this team is good and managed well. They will compete barring something s**tty. The issue is how far can they go with a couple holes in the lineup.

Lets not get all crazy here like they suck. lol
