Especially considering we drafted both Bart and Posey in the top 5, and Posey was already ready to start, be the team captain, and lead the team to a World Series victory 2 years after the draft. Here we are coming up on 4 years after Bart's draft and we have no clue if he can even play in the big leagues in any capacity yet.

Obviously Posey was a special, once in a franchise history type player, so you cant expect Bart to live up to that. But at this point I'd be happy if he was just turned out to be a solid starting catcher.

My understanding on Bart he's got MLB hit skills just needs to develop behind the plate which takes time. A lot of clubs are putting out there catchers who struggle to hit it's almost like having two pitcher spots in the lineup something we are trying to avoid post-Posey.

When he played in 2020 he didn't look like a competent hitter. 41 k, 3 bb, 0 HR in 111 PA.

What a magical year that was

How is he watching the field from the bottom of the dugout tunnel?

Follow up tweets said it was from 2010. I am not sure how Texas Stadium's dugout's were laid out.
I'd like to see us add Taylor. I recall hearing them being interested in Keke last year. Seems to be Farhan likes the versatility kind of players.

Either way he's a nice vet bat to add. Plus he can play multiple positions and play them well.

Taylor got the QO, so we'd have to give up a draft pick too.

An end of the 4th rd pick. I'm sure that's not much to give up for a few years of his service.

YES to Taylor!
The bigger question is , Are we going to make any moves before 12/2?? I mean I haven't heard a peep so I'm assuming 12/2 the owners will lockout the players.

They should have there votes stripped. The team was projected to win 70 games and finished with the best record in baseball 106 wins. Obvious choice

Mitch Stacy from the Cincinnati AP didn't vote for Kapler at all.

Nick Groke from The Athletic Colorado had Kapler 2nd behind Counsell. The rest voted Kapler 1st.

Honest question, wasn't there a ton of hate for Kapler at first? I could be wrong. I just thought he got a ton of hate at first.

Regardless, he 100% deserved it this year. Don't think ANYBODY saw the season the Giants had coming.
