we need another arm. Gausman he coming back? we letting him walk? He received Cy Young and MVP votes. I imagine we gave him a qualifying and we want to save the money and get the pick is that right?

Gausman got the qualifying offer last year, and you can only offer it to a player once. We have a lot of money to spend and a hole at the front end of the rotation, so I would put his chances at re-signing above 50%, but who knows. They might opt to spend on hitters like Semien and Marte and just find the next Gausman type guy for cheap now that they brought in 3 SP.

he deserves Verlander money. Verlander was hurt all season while Max was 3rd place in the CY voting. For 2 years I would prefer Max to be honest.
