***2021 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD***

The lack of close games this year is astounding. Seems like just about every game has been a blowout or a nice 8-10pt cushion heading into the final few minutes.

To reiterate...
Just did the math. The winning teams in the playoffs thus far, including tonight, have scored 8,823 points. The losing team? 7,799 points. Averaged out through all 78 games played, that's an avg score of 113.1 vs 99.9, or roughly 14 points per game. IDK what the historical margin for the playoffs is, or even the average over the previous recent season, but that seems f**king crazy to me.

I mean, the Celts had the best margin of victory in the regular season this year, and that was around 7ppg, so you're talking double that against supposedly the best of the best playing each other.

Well at least I won't have to hear the god awful homerism on the LeBatard Show anymore. First the Panthers and soon the Heat.

I hate the Celtics - but can't hate this team. That defense is too good. Still think they got lucky that Middleton was out - Bucks would have won that series imo if he was healthy. Also - I love watching teams that play defense like this. Blowouts have been awful but just watching defense play like this on every possession is great for me.

Having said that - if it's Warriors vs. Celtics - I am certainly rooting for Warriors. f**k em Celtics. Hope Curry goes nuts and wins his well deserved 1st Finals MVP (should have 2 already imo).
Mavs may pull a comeback because of stuff.... either way... its Warriors/Mavs chip. Just need to know who to give the F-MVP 2 now.

Imagine if Lebron joined the Celtics after your hate was born :)
Pulling for Curry to get number 4 and become the best player of this generation.

Same
No matter what Curry does he will never be considered a better player than James. He could average 50 in the finals, get the MVP, and it still wouldn't be close. And this is coming from a guy that does not like LBJ at all. Can't deny his ability, and for how long he was able to stay on top.

Honestly ask yourself this question. What player of this era would a GM take to start their team at the beginning of their careers? Even knowing how their careers would go. LeBron is a douche, but he is a bigger and stronger athlete that could always dominate a game physically like Curry will never be able to.

Curry has ushered in an entirely new era, the game has changed undeniably due to his play.
