***2021 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD***

lol Lebron is not joining Warriors. Had Warriors lost earlier in the playoffs - maybe they try to add him but why would they now? Why would Lebron leave Lakers also? He wants to be in LA with his family and knows if he can win 1 more chip with Lakers and put them ahead of Celtics - it'll be one hell of a achievement. Plus - Jeanie already said she wants to see Lebron break KAJ all time scoring record in Lakers colors.

This will not happen nor it should. Fully expect Lebron to re-sign with Lakers this fall or next summer. We need Lebron v Curry.

Bro, I know this is difficult for you to understand but this is a Lebron thing, not a Warriors thing. Your dad has mentioned MULTIPLE times that he would wanna come play with Steph. So yeah, he would absolutely leave the Lakers. He has said it more than once.

Lebron will go to any team and do anything that will be beneficial to Lebron. He has zero interest in building a team for the future and is only in it for himself. That is not the GSW way.

Imagine Lebron taking a back seat like Curry did, or coming off the bench like Curry did in the first series. Not a chance.

Also, Lebron is washed up. Nobody wants to see Lebron vs. Curry. That is so 5 years ago.

Warriors just won a championship and I understand playoffs in both conferences were relatively weak (props to them for staying healthy this year - didn't have the same luck last 3 years) but their fans are in here talking about Lebron loool

Strange fascination.

Let me just enjoy and be happy that Celtics didn't win.

I don't know...combination of things I guess. Don't like the city, don't like the Red Sox, hate the Patriots, always hated the Celtics - even in the 90s - can't stand the 80s Celtics other than Bird - can't stand Paul Pierce and never liked Antoine Walker - and then all the battles with Cavs & Heat in the 2000s and 2010s.

In Football too - I hate Patriots the most outside the division - well after Cowboys.

Idk - just don't like them. It's kind of like Seattle of the East for me. I can't stand Seattle either - from the city to the people to the teams.

Oh can't fukin' stand Danny Ainge either lol - he was probably the most annoying player from the 80s from what I can remember. I was a kid but I remember i hated his ass lol

One of my oldest memories of basketball was Pistons beating the s**t out of Celtics (literally) and I was all for it.

LeBron style will hold back any team. It's archaic at this point and hard to watch.

False, LeBron makes any team better and he can fit on any team just for his IQ and playmaking ability. He's just stuck on a team with an old trash roster and a guy whose crazy talented but gets hurt tripping over his own feet. And I'm not a huge nor ever been a LeBron fan. Let's say for a crazy reason James plays for GS, he would fit perfectly because he can pass and is a smart player and at that stage he won't be asked to carry the team himself

That is because LeBron the player got to roleplay as LeBron the GM.

He has nobody to blame but himself
Sure fire way for any team to get LeBron is draft Bronny. Regarding the Warriors, that is never going to happen. I think Lebron talking about that is like a tip of the cap to a team and organization he respects. Draymond was really heaping praise on LeBron as well this post season via his podcast. Called him the smartest player ever.

Thought you weren't old enough to watch/appreciate the 80's? I could be wrong, but thought you were 90's kid

Yup and he has all the respect for Kerr too. He has spoken glowingly about Kerr, Klay, Curry, and of course Green. Lebron was asked which player he'd like to play with and obviously he said Curry bc that's a perfect fit. But of course - some clowns be tripping over that.

I can also bet that he has all the respect for Lacob too - owner has one job - to open the checkbook to build a championship team and any player that wants to win will respect that. Windhorst dumb asf to say what he said couple days back. Everyone is under the same rules - respect the hell out of the owner who is willing to put the money where his mouth is.

Funniest part about that s**t was once they gave him the smelling salts and he came to, first thing he asked was "did he get ejected?" 🤣 classic laimbeer

Just remember the last couple years of the 80s (probably the last year Ainge was on Celtics - just have a memory of him whining and crying in green)...but yea - he was just as annoying with the Suns even though he probably played half as many minutes. Definitely remember Bird - hard to forget after watching him play. But, I do remember 90s way more than 80s. Reggie Miller 8 pts in the Garden in 8.9 seconds to win the game was the best sequence I saw live in the 90s. That is tattooed in my brain even though I feel like it's getting faded every time I listen to his horrendous commentary.
