lol why do you hate the Celtics so much?
I don't know...combination of things I guess. Don't like the city, don't like the Red Sox, hate the Patriots, always hated the Celtics - even in the 90s - can't stand the 80s Celtics other than Bird - can't stand Paul Pierce and never liked Antoine Walker - and then all the battles with Cavs & Heat in the 2000s and 2010s.
In Football too - I hate Patriots the most outside the division - well after Cowboys.
Idk - just don't like them. It's kind of like Seattle of the East for me. I can't stand Seattle either - from the city to the people to the teams.
Thought you weren't old enough to watch/appreciate the 80's? I could be wrong, but thought you were 90's kid
Just remember the last couple years of the 80s (probably the last year Ainge was on Celtics - just have a memory of him whining and crying in green)...but yea - he was just as annoying with the Suns even though he probably played half as many minutes. Definitely remember Bird - hard to forget after watching him play. But, I do remember 90s way more than 80s. Reggie Miller 8 pts in the Garden in 8.9 seconds to win the game was the best sequence I saw live in the 90s. That is tattooed in my brain even though I feel like it's getting faded every time I listen to his horrendous commentary.
Oh he was a crybaby for sure lol. When he got traded to the kings we were 1 part excited and 1 part disgusted. Tough SOB though.
he was cool though. My dad did some community golf tourneys with him through the DA's office and spoak highly of him
