2021-2022 17 TIME WORLD CHAMPION Los Angeles Lakers Thread

Big offseason for Lakers bc they can vastly improve this team.

First priority - AR should be brought back no matter what but as a starting PG of the team. Really feel Max is gonna be a real good player at SG/SF and should have played in these playoffs. He's gonna be AR of 2024.

Rui should be brought back as well to backup Lebron and play significant minutes.

The real benefit of the deadline trades comes now. Beas and Bamba are team options and can be traded as expiring contracts or be the depth players at SG and backup big. 30m salary ballast will be huge in any trade.

D'Lo is a FA, and Vando is signed for $4M next season. I'd bring back DLo on a short term deal if possible, so he can be easily traded at the deadline if he's still up & down.

Lakers have 17th overall pick this year.

There's gonna be a lot of Kyrie rumors. I think he re-signs with Mavs. Lakers need a player like OG or Finny-Smith who can play defense and hit 3s. OG will be very tough to trade for - but he's going into last year of his contract and can sort of dictate where he wants to go.

AD is extension eligible this summer. Lakers should offer it on day 1.

Oh hell no. Trade that bum

I'll never understand how ppl don't know the value of expiring contracts & draft picks lol. They're even more valuable now with the new CBA.

Lakers can def get someone pretty good with 17th pick and expiring contracts of Bamba and/or Beasley.

Do think Lakers should stand pat and draft someone at 17. Some really good players who can contribute right away will be there. Gives them option of using full MLE (12m) and stay under hard cap.

I think this will be Brons last year with us one way or another. He's gonna go play with his kid so I don't see the point of extending AD.

One last run next year and then we rebuild. AD is under contact with us for 2 more years anyways. Trade him the following off-season.
Nuggets are talking about Lakers and Lebron instead of Miami and Butler. They sound like a lot of haters. Attention whoring at its peak.

AD has opt out next year. He will leave next season if Lakers don't extend. Pelicans will just defer the pick they own next summer to 2025.

Even if you want to rebuild - you never ever let your stars leave in FA. Lakers will be dumb to not extend AD this summer.

Don't think Lebron is leaving next year either - unless retiring. I think he retires as a Laker.

Didn't realize that. Ugh...
Not a huge fan of JHS as a fit on the team. Gotta trust Lakers scouting dept bc they're one of the best in the league.

good value but thought they would for a top shooter

That's what I imagined as well. Warriors got another ridiculous shooter at 19. Did like the lakers 2nd rd pick - thought Max Lewis will go somewhere in late 20s or early 30s - so good value again at 40.

Will see how they fit. What I like about JHS is that he can run a very effective PnR and can pass - plus is 6'5 guard who will be a good fit next to Reaves. Wished he wasn't such a streaky shooter but that's why he was there at 17.
