Love the 2nd rd pick though. I wanted Lakers to draft him in rd 1 - maybe not at 17 but there were lot of rumors of trade down with Nets or Pacers in 20s. But, glad they got him at 40. Lakers paid 4M to the Pacers just to move up 7spots in round 2 in hopes that Max will be there.

Max Lewis has a 7'0 wingspan lol - and is a good shooter. Could contribute a little at Forward in his first year.


I think JHS is a really good player as well but fit isn't perfect. On many sites he was a top 12 player in the draft. I never thought he'd be there at 17. AD will love him though bc he's really good in PnR and passing off screens. He is also a good defender and 6'10 wingspan at PG or SG is nice to have. Shooting is inconsistent and I wished he attacked the rim more. He's a good mid range shooter and passe

Bruce Brown @ 12M
Austin Reaves @ 12M
Rui @ 14M
DLo @ 18M

Rui and DLo could get more from other teams so we will see but if Lakers can get them at 14 & 18 they'll also be comfortably able to use Bi-Annual exception at 5M to throw at another player - hopefully a backup center or wing.

Using bi-annual or mid level exception (Bruce Brown) will hard cap you @ 172M. With above numbers they stay couple mil under that.

Yup...if they plan to use their exceptions - they can't bring back Mo and Beasley at those salaries. Would love to bring back Mo for 5M

First rumors were Lakers paid Eric Gordon 12m a year and I was kind of annoyed by that. So glad it's Vincent instead. Major steal.

Now sign Reaves @ 12m
Rui hopefully @ 14m
and D'Lo at 20m or under on 2 year deal
