2021-2022 17 TIME WORLD CHAMPION Los Angeles Lakers Thread

…really hoping Austin takes another step and becomes a consistent 3rd option for Lakers every night.

He's gonna have Reaves leap in 2023-24. I still can't believe Ham didn't play him at all in the playoffs. He's a really good defender and his offensive game is coming along nicely. He's also a really good shooter.

He was a 5 star recruit but didn't have as good a year as expected and then declared for draft after 1 season at Michigan State. Lakers draft guys don't miss.

Fully expect him to be no2 on the depth chart at SG with solid contributions regularly off the bench.

RFA next summer.
I must be a casual fan because I didn't even know he was in the team.

Sure is quiet in here. Oh I know, 95-90 .

Jordan Walsh leads the way! 25 pts to Christie's 24.

How do you think you guys will do this year? Smart could be a big loss or what?

I wish they could have pulled off the failed Brogdon trade instead of having to sacrifice Smart but don't think it's going to be that huge of a loss. The team will rally and develop a new chemistry. If Tatum continues to evolve and they avoid a major injury bug they will be better than this past year IMO even with the losses of Smart and Grant Williams. They may not have as many wins but I predict a stronger playoff team. They have a nice 8 man rotation atm and Walsh could play some good minutes if he keeps this up.
