How do you think you guys will do this year? Smart could be a big loss or what?

I wish they could have pulled off the failed Brogdon trade instead of having to sacrifice Smart but don't think it's going to be that huge of a loss. The team will rally and develop a new chemistry. If Tatum continues to evolve and they avoid a major injury bug they will be better than this past year IMO even with the losses of Smart and Grant Williams. They may not have as many wins but I predict a stronger playoff team. They have a nice 8 man rotation atm and Walsh could play some good minutes if he keeps this up.

Lost couple of elite perimeter defenders this offseason but getting Porzingis was huge. He is one of the most underrated players in the league imo. He was great last year and if he can stay healthy - he'd be a great fit. Really like him and hate that he went to Boston.

Jalen Brown supermax will happen sometime this summer and even though I feel supermax are now terrible deals with the new CBA in place unless it's going to a top 15 player - Boston must get it done and keep Brown and Tatum on the team. I think they'll be strong contenders this year once again as Brown and Tatum enter their primes.
Really hoping Lakers don't go after Dwight or JaVale for backup big. Those guys are done for 2 years and will not offer any worth a damn.

Want Biyombo or Wood.
AR making 40m over next 3 years may be the best non-rookie contract in the NBA. Dude is special.

Can't wait to see Bron and AR do their thing. Lebron will be able to play a lot off the ball and it's gonna happen bc of AR.
Ugh they paid ad. Terrible move they'll regret when he's hurt every other game.

Joke of a contract. Should easily be making at least what Duncan Robinson got.

I'll root for him until he plays the Celtics. Props to him for being able to play for the team he grew up loving. He and Haliburton are coming off the bench for team USA and providing a spark. Go kick some world ass!

Lol. What? You don't know football or basketball.

Why did the Lakers make the run and the WCF last season? Because of you sitting at home playing GM or AD dominating? Shut your ass up

Worst thing that can happen to any franchise - losing a good player for nothing - let alone a future HOFer in his prime. Nothing can be worse than that. Some ppl are completely clueless about how NBA cap works.

Not to mention - Lakers don't even control their draft pick in 2024 or 2025. Pels have the right to pick either one of those picks. So, it's not like Lakers can go into rebuild next summer.

Lastly - AD gave the Lakers a massive discount. As he has done so on his contract when he again signed a 5 year contract instead of signing 1+1 and then signing a max contract that would have earned him several million more per season. This time too - he could have opted out next summer and then Lakers would have offered him a new 5 year deal worth over 310m (bc again - worst thing is losing a star player for nothing) - essentially making it a 6 year $355 contract including this season. Now he's signed for 5 years 265M including this year.
