2021-2022 17 TIME WORLD CHAMPION Los Angeles Lakers Thread

That was so much fun!

It was good to see AR play well in the OT.

Ham needs to realize that Lakers must play big. That's their advantage. At one point they had AD, Hayes, and Wood on the floor and they made a nice run. PLAY BIG

LBJ out rebounding AD.... Hustle UP!
Lebron played 35 minutes today and was +12 for the game. Lakers lost by 31pts in the 13 mins he sat.

Lakers are missing Vando, Rui, Gabe Vincent, Prince and fans of opposing teams popping off after 2 weeks into the season.

I think this is a great roster with depth that can compete. Also think they're 1 player away from being one of the favorites to win it all. Pelinka should give up some depth to add that player at the deadline. Both things can be true.

Well, he's playing a lot of minutes against second units unlike Anthony Davis. Lebron often goes on the bench in the middle of the first and third quarters.
I mean, I get why. Lebron is 38 and they need to keep him fresh for the POs. But it explains why Anthony Davis could be -24 in this game even if he had a great game.
Banchero was +23 in 34 minutes playing most of his minutes against Davis.
The plus/minus stat is a stat to use with context I think.

Not really about AD but he's a Center and he can't control the game or do everything. He's been amazing so far this season.

And, it's not that many minutes against 2nd units if you think about it. He's playing about 25 minutes when most starters are playing on both teams (start of 1st & 3rd Q and end of half/game).

Also - when he's not playing with the starters - he's often playing 3-4 players from the Lakers bench. So, he's playing with backups when playing against backups.

Regardless - while watching the game - it's kind of obvious that as soon as Lebron is in - offense is significantly better.

My comment was more to do with coaching staff has to do a better job of figuring out the rotations to make sure they have right players together when Lebron is on bench.

All I can speak on is Twitter, 2 coworkers, and 2 of my friends who live in LA....I can say with absolute certainty that Laker fans are just as guilty as opposing fans.
