Btw Lakers defense is one of the best in the league - if not the best. Special performances on that end over the last few games.

While I think the in-season tourny is an absolute sham, it appears to be popular with the fans. I gotta say, though, AD went off. Absolutely a monster game for him. I hope he can maintain that same level intensity for when it matters the most.

AD is so special on defense.

Even though Spurs game became close late in the 4th - it was a good win bc they were able to rest Lebron. I'd like to see the Lakers rest AD now in the next game on Friday against Spurs. He'll get 4 days off b4 next game.

Good to see AD hit 2 more 3s and a few jumpers. I think if AD can keep defenses honest - he can average 28ppg+ at high efficiency. He's just so damn good defensively and to get a few easy buckets on offense can turn 17-18 pts game to 25-26 pt games.

Very ugly indeed. That was my least favorite thing about the IST. I hope they'll chill a little bit (actually a lot) on the colors - make them diff. but don't make them cartoonish.

If they bring it back, I agree it does need to be more games (8), but I think there needs to be more at stake. Like if the IST winner ends up being a playoff team, guaranteed advantage in the first round, regardless of seed, or if not, maybe a bump in the lottery percentage. Giving players bonus money does nothing for the fan.

The way the Lakers were celebrating that IST trophy, they will be mocked relentlessly for years to come if they don't win it all this year. It would be worse if the Suns got it.

They can probably guarantee 9th seed at worst in the play-in for winning IST. I think they should also count the finals for the regular season. Don't think winning a 7 game tournament has anything to do with winning 4 rounds of best of 7 series - especially when they're played 7 months apart. I'd like it to be 8 games as well and get more teams in the knockout - ideally everyone and the higher seed get to pick who they want to face in every round.

As for mocking - who cares? Their are still clowns who mock the bubble championship. Every team that wins in the following years will celebrate it. When you win - you get to do that. To the victor belongs the spoils.
