One unlikely trade scenario for Westbrook...

IF Chicago loses in 1st round (looking very possible right now) - Lavine may want to leave the Bulls. He wanted max contract last summer but Bulls said no. Of course they may offer him a max this summer but he may or may not be interested since he's a FA. He played at UCLA and has said in the past that he'd like to play with Lebron and when Bulls didn't give him a max - he changed his agency to Klutch. So, IF he tells the Bulls I walk for nothing or you trade me to Lakers - Bulls may be forced to engage with Lakers.

Something like this could make sense:
Bulls Get:
Westbrook 47M expiring contract
2027 1st round pick unprotected
2 2nd round picks (acquired in Westbrook trade from Wizards)

Lakers Get:
Zach Lavine - max contract - 40M

Lakers could attach another pick or THT to the deal if needed.

Lavine will be an ideal fit next to Lebron and AD.

Yea...this team is junk. Every time they put couple of nice games in - I get sucked in - thinking they may have a puncher's chance with AD back but either another injury happens or they go back to playing/coaching like last night.

Really want Lavine on this team. Bulls are in free-fall...hopefully that will make Lavine look at Lakers in the FA and force a S&T with Bulls or Lakers can clear cap by sending Westbrook + THT + picks into OKC cap space and open up a max slot.
