2021-2022 17 TIME WORLD CHAMPION Los Angeles Lakers Thread

Two good articles from cap guru Eric Pincus. Things that Lakers FO did wrong over the past few seasons and what decisions they have to make this summer.

My biggest issue with RW this year has been his decision making. It was always bad but it's somehow gotten worse. He throws himself into positions where he can't get a good shot off or has no passing lane. This leads to a brick or a TO. He takes bad shots, bad jumpers (he should literally never take a jumper), plays hero ball defense, etc.

I think it looked worse bc Vogel played bunch of non shooters most of the time and Westbrook lost a step and sometimes it takes time to make that adjustment to understand what your body can and can't do.
I really hope Jeanie brings in another voice in the FO - before hiring a new coach. She really can't let Rambii make these crucial decision. It makes no sense that the owner of the most valuable NBA franchise is letting friends make all the decisions. Just stupid.

So she owns the Knicks and the warriors too?

Predicting 60+ wins if all 3 stay healthy. Don't think there will be huge adjusting period with Westbrook. Lakers basically played with Walmart-Westbrook last season in Schroder. He couldn't shoot either and that didn't stop them from dominating before injuries wrecked the season.

Ppl are not realizing how fukin' special this team will be in transition. It will lead to sooo many layups and dunks in the paint - which is still the most effective shot in the game. This will be very much like Showtime Lakers...transition offense is gonna be one of the best of all time.

Also - AD looks in best shape of his life. Expecting MVP level season from him if he plays at least 60% of his minutes at Center.

Agreed
1..2..3..Cancun..

I never said he isn't - I just said it was worse this year than previous years bc of who Vogel put on the court with him. Westbrook has always been able to carry his teams to playoffs. I'm not saying he's not at fault - just think his weaknesses were amplified by the coaching staff.
