My biggest issue with RW this year has been his decision making. It was always bad but it's somehow gotten worse. He throws himself into positions where he can't get a good shot off or has no passing lane. This leads to a brick or a TO. He takes bad shots, bad jumpers (he should literally never take a jumper), plays hero ball defense, etc.
I think it looked worse bc Vogel played bunch of non shooters most of the time and Westbrook lost a step and sometimes it takes time to make that adjustment to understand what your body can and can't do.
HES BEEN IN THE LEAGUE FOR 14 f**kING YEARS. GET IT THRU YOUR HEAD. THIS IS WHO HE IS
I never said he isn't - I just said it was worse this year than previous years bc of who Vogel put on the court with him. Westbrook has always been able to carry his teams to playoffs. I'm not saying he's not at fault - just think his weaknesses were amplified by the coaching staff.
Absolutely nothing about how RW played this year surprised me.

Naah…Westbrook will be fine. It's game 1. It was a fun game. Plenty of positives from this game. I honestly didn't think they'd win this game after how disjointed they looked in preseason. They played much better.
Lakers are gonna be just fine. Westbrook will catch up.
I believe I read this correctly.

What a f**king embarrassment. RW played the whole season and the game after we are eliminated he's out with injury and Lebron packing it in for the season. Ship these pussies out of Los Angeles.

There is rumor about Hornets being interested in Westbrook. Not sure if it's true but wouldn't mind engaging a third team like Pistons or Magic who can then land Hayward + THT and a draft pick or two and Lakers can get cap relief.
A possible trade scenario:
Lakers get:
Kelly Ubre Jr. (expiring contract)
Terrance Ross (expiring contract)
Hornets get:
Westbrook (expiring contract)
Bol Bol (expiring contract)
Magic get:
Gordan Hayward (2 year contract)
THT (player option in 2023)
2023 Hornets 1st round pick (lottery protected)
Hornets and Magic don't come close to paying luxury tax and can fit those guys under the cap.
Lakers can then easily move Ross and Ubre to open up a near max slot for someone like Zach Lavine or move them at the deadline for a better player. They can also keep them since the team needs wings who can shoot. If they keep them - they'd still have about 10M in cap space and have another 10M in exception to add non-minimum guys.

I hope y'all get a new coach and run it back with the same team. Westbrook deserves better
