2) Westbrook and Horton and a pick for Kyrie and Joe Harris or Seth Curry. I lost count on how many posts you made about trading for Kyrie but it was a LOT.
3) Westbrook and a pick for DeRozan
Maybe you are right and Westbrooks expiring contract will get a star. I just completely disagree that he is worth much of anything. He is certainly not the player you thought when you predicted the Lakers would win 60 games with him joining Lebron and AD.
Missing key details. With every trade scenario - I said Lakers will have to take on a bad contract and more salaries. Details matter.
1. IF Lavine (as a FA this past summer) tells Chicago that he's leaving unless they trade him to Lakers THEN Lakers may be able to get him for Westbrook + 2 picks and take on a bad contract or two.
2 Yes on 2 and I've to say Lakers will not even offer that for Kyrie anymore. Kyrie was threatening Nets that he'd opt out and leave for free and Nets are begging teams to take on Harris horrendous contract and may have to attach draft assets to move him.
3. Zach Lowe said this today:
According to @ZachLowe_NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers have had internal discussions about a potential trade for Chicago Bulls forward DeMar DeRozan and center Nikola Vucevic.

And never said Westbrook and a pick for DeRozan. All I said was DeRozan and Caruso MAY be available bc Bulls aren't going anywhere and their pick heads to ORL if it lands outside top 4.
None of the scenarios I presented involved players/teams in normal circumstances. There was/is big IF involved in every scenario and Lakers will have to take on bad contracts.
