On January 29th, @OfficialNBARefs released a formal apology to the Lakers after missing a call against them.

Before that apology, the Lakers had a FT differential of +2.96.

Since that apology, they have a FT differential of +10.39, a 250% increase 🤯

Maybe something to do with AD being back, a deeper roster that is also a better defensive team - which leads to fewer fouls on the other team?

Lakers FTA before trade deadline - 7.0
Lakers FTA after trade deadline - 8.5

As I suspected...better defensive players lead to fewer FTs for the other team. That's the biggest difference.
Not to mention - Lakers went from having 6-7 players worthy of real playing time to 9-10 players. That will lead to slightly more FTs.

He's getting doubled and I feel Ham stops going to him when he should be force feeding him. AD is not without fault either - needs to be more aggressive and make a quick move before double gets there or make the right pass when double comes in.

Nice beat down in Chicago but doesn't make up for the loss on Sunday. Must win in Minny to make up for that horrible loss.

Excellent starting lineup that went up 17 in the first Q and then got completely benched by the great HC who decided to play 5 off the bench together for 6-7 minutes that quickly gave up all the lead. His love for DS is becoming s big problem. The guy is a lunatic and there is no chance Lakers win a game if they make the playoffs and he does this bs.
