Decent coach - absurd money.
Doesn't count against the cap so why not? Their owner can afford it. Plus you get the sense that he really had to push the offer to talk Monty out of taking some time off. And moving to Detroit.
Yea - more I thought about it - it makes sense. Lot of coaches probably don't want to go there and he's probably as good a coach they can get right now. Had they landed no1 pick - things would have been different.
Also, I think Monty is a good coach for a young team anyway.
