Yup. Happened to Lebron and Curry too. Only player to get 3 straight MVPS is Larry Bird - which shouldn't have happened either but it was the 80s and yea - I'll leave it at that.

Jokic was deserving of a third in a row

After stealing game 2, I was expecting Miami to play much better at home than they have, pathetic showing.

Wilt and Russell did it too but the point remains the same. Once you won a few MVP's the voters tend to bend over backwards to give other players some love. It benefitted Jokic a few years ago and he took the honors Giannas should of won, here he should of won it.

But I'm sure he'll be just as happy with Finals MVP.

If I am Pat Riley - after this series is over (win or lose - likely lose) - I'm going all out to get Dame. Trade and swaps all the FRP and offer any one player on the roster not named Butler and Bam.

Portland should move to rebuild with 3rd pick in hand and get as many picks as possible over the next 3-4 years.
