***NBA OFFSEASON 2023 Thread***

Heat gave it their all. They cooled down at the worst time.
Nuggets were clearly the best team in the NBA
Congrats to Denver. This should ease the pain of having to watch Russell Wilson play this year.
Nuggets too good.

Sad for Butler, 0-2 in finals having to go against LeBron/AD and Joker/Murray
Joel Embiid winning Finals MVP is something I did not see coming.

Lol all the detractors saying they beat a 8, 4, 7 and 8 seed being the weakest path ever. I guess the teams those teams beat, and the only team having homecourt advantage to get there being the Suns, and including the Lakers beating the defending champs, doesn't count for anything. It's a weak argument, IMO.

At least 2 MVPs and 1 championship is a very selective group. Lot of all time great players don't have that on their resume. Only the beginning.

Giannis, Luka, Jokic are all gonna end up in top 15 players all time if not higher (baring a career threatening injury)…and more elite talent is coming in - league is always getting better and sport is growing worldwide faster than ever imagined. Great things ahead for NBA.

Lol this is what NBA media has become. Just try to find a way to dismiss titles. Happens every single year. It's a clown show. They berate their own players and teams and titles. It's always just negativity and jokes.

They don't even realize - many picked against Nuggets vs Suns and Lakers lol. Idiots.

Luka will never be top 15 if he can't learn how to be an impact defender, IMO. And he's the biggest whiner in the NBA, bar none. I can't root for that guy.
Congrats to the nuggets. They were clearly the best team in the playoffs and it wasn't even really close. But stating that they went through the #8, #4, #7, and #8 seeds is a fact and doesn't need to be a knock on them to acknowledge it.

I feel there are already couple of guys in there that weren't impact defenders - but that certainly hurts his case. Do think defense improves when he gets in better shape and when he's not being asked to score 30 and run the offense on every possession. As for the whiner thing - I feel they all whine and top players in every era whined a lot.

Hes only 23. He's gonna get better and I've no doubt he is gonna average 30 - 8 - 8 for his career and win MVPs. It will come down having a good team around him and playoffs success. He has already kind of shown he is a big stage player.
