Lol all the detractors saying they beat a 8, 4, 7 and 8 seed being the weakest path ever. I guess the teams those teams beat, and the only team having homecourt advantage to get there being the Suns, and including the Lakers beating the defending champs, doesn't count for anything. It's a weak argument, IMO.
As a warriors fan we hear the same s**t, just salty fans trying to diminish what they accomplished

Congrats to the nuggets. They were clearly the best team in the playoffs and it wasn't even really close. But stating that they went through the #8, #4, #7, and #8 seeds is a fact and doesn't need to be a knock on them to acknowledge it.
And they smoked every one of them. Seeding is a bad way to judge a team anyway. All teams at this level are good, have multiple stars and are dangerous.

Developing: Washington is in serious talks with two finalists – Miami and Phoenix – on a Bradley Beal trade, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. The Suns have emerged as a serious threat for Beal, who holds a no-trade clause.

How did they choke? They ended up losing to the eventual NBA champions with Paul out and won more games against them than anyone else.
I don't know how they can afford Beal or how he even fits on the Suns roster but if the reports about them getting him for a combination of CP3+Shamet+a couple 2nds, I don't know how you turn that down either. They'd still have Ayton to play around trading with and picking up some much needed depth.
I do not believe Miami is interested in Beal - from what I have heard. May be why the Suns are the leaders in the clubhouse. It's certainly not because Phoenix has a lot to offer.

Yes the reports on Beal are accurate. https://t.co/H0C5EHbjWR

A couple interesting notes on the Suns' pursuit of Bradley Beal:
— Evan Sidery (@esidery) June 17, 2023
- Josh Bartelstein, Phoenix's CEO, is the son of Bradley Beal's agent (Mark Bartelstein).
- Since Beal has a full no-trade clause that can decide what compensation is sent, Phoenix can easily match salaries with…
The only reason the Suns are in this situation regarding Beal is because he wants to be in Phoenix & has the power to control things via No Trade Clause. This is why you make the KD trade. Devin Booker & Kevin Durant make Phoenix a prime opportunity and Destination. This is Real! pic.twitter.com/5BNczloSkI

This is either going to be an amazing success or a Titanic level disaster but either way it's going to be really entertaining.
Suns can still move Ayton to build up their depth too.

Still a good player / getting paid 50m a year. Suns have expiring contracts and those are highly valuable. Seems like a good trade for Wizards. Needed to somehow get out of that Beal contract. Good trade for Suns if they win a title and therefore worth it for them. They have 3 players making 130m and salary cap is 134m. If the owner can pay - then why not?!?
Will be interesting what they do with Ayton now.
